5 Stars – Beautifully Curated & Full of Moody Magic We visited Nocturne in Salem after a local recommendation, and I’m so glad we did—it’s absolutely adorable! The shop is beautifully set up with such a dreamy, moody vibe that fits perfectly with the Salem aesthetic. It was a super hot day, so I treated myself to a black lace fan (both stylish and practical!), and the woman working at the counter was really kind and helpful while I browsed. The back sitting area with the bookshelves totally stole my heart—such a cozy, gothic nook that made me want to curl up and stay awhile. 🖤📚 They also had a stunning jewelry display, filled with unique, ornate pieces. I was a little bummed that most of the rings were in very small sizes (sadly, not for my fingers!), but the craftsmanship was gorgeous and worth admiring. Overall, Nocturne is a must-stop if you’re in Salem and love beautiful, dark aesthetics and thoughtful curation. It’s like stepping into a little slice of gothic serenity in the middle of town. 🕯️🦇✨

Nocturne is an absolute must visit in Salem for all. The staff is lovely, and you can tell they put so much into this store. My bestie is a spooky queen and this was a perfect place to find a special gift to bring back for her.

The most beautiful shop in Salem, with a huge assortment of stunningly curated items that take your breath away. Kim and Mike the owners are so amazing, kind, funny. I love Nocturne so much, I think about my next visit all the time. All of the staff are wonderful and you really need to experience this fabulous store if you ever visit Salem.

The most amazingly curated shop of art, gifts, books and antiques. Not only is the store beautifully decorated, with different levels and rooms but the staff is the sweetest funniest people you’ll meet in Salem. Every time I go in looking for a gift for my Mom, the staff helps me find the perfect thing. They have unique events like book clubs, sip and shops and even magic shows. They are hands on in supporting their community and provide a safe space for all. Nocturne is a must see for anyone touring Salem in any season.

We loved Nocturne! Salem is very walkable and this is a must stop in and shop/see! Rich decor and witchy everything. We got our favorite little spyglass necklaces there and used them on the Salem ferry, they actually work! Such a magical shop! Beautiful mini library with great selection of books, jewelry, prints, and so much more.

I loved this store I visited with my sister on Halloween we planned to come to this store after seeing it featured on several reels and tik toks !!! This store does not disappoint and for it being Halloween the wait to get in wasn’t long . I would love to come again and revisit the store the library room was my favorite.

We LOVE Nocturne!!! When we visited back in September for my birthday, we were immediately enchanted. There is so much love and care in every corner and I love how they have curated a beautiful store full of small businesses. Although we don't live in Salem (yet), we feel part of the community from their social media presence and their monthly book club (definitely check it out if you haven't/need a rec for some spooky reads). Authenticity is power and the owners of this store have done such a fantastic job at carving their mark on an already magical city. Thank you for crafting such an inviting and inclusive space. We can't wait to visit again soon!

I don’t usually leave reviews for stores but there are stores you stumble upon, and then there are stores that summon you. Nocturne in Salem is absolutely worth the line. It’s less a boutique and more an experience that feels like stepping through velvet shadows. The air itself is perfumed with mystery, and each scent seems to whisper a different kind of secret. This darkly romantic haven curates small batch perfumeries and treasures from local Salem practitioners alongside their own signature staples. Every bottle, candle, and charm feels personal, crafted for those who crave the kind of beauty that lingers long after you’ve left. The fragrances are intoxicating, gothic yet refined, the kind that make strangers lean in a little closer. I personally chose Dirty Suede as my scent. Velvety suede and musks are blended with balsam, jasmine, and soft amber in a clean and deeply sensual fragrance that feels like second skin, warm, elegant, and just the right touch of danger. If Salem is magic, Nocturne is its most seductive spell.

Hands down one of my favorite stores in Salem. It’s perfectly curated and decorated and absolutely wonderful. Not only do they offer beautiful, hand crafted, and unique products but their team is also so kind. I could have spent a couple hours perusing everything in detail. I will be returning every time I visit Salem.

Nocturne is still one of the coolest and BEST locations to visit while in Salem - it's a MUST VISIT in every way, shape, and form. As one of the well-known shops in the area, they have their own unique vibe that his you the moment you walk through the door. The owners are awesome, and the staff are polite, helpful, and knowledgeable. The decor changes throughout the year, so there's always something new and exciting to see. Make sure to visit their library area towards the back of the store - SO many great reads, including local authors. Highly recommended.
